Katie Barry Boychuck
-
Board Chair
Katie lives in Chicago with her husband Mike and their three sons, Mac, Jack, and Collin. When Collin was 15 months old, the Boychuck family received his MED13L diagnosis. After attending the 2022 MED13L conference in Baltimore, where they connected with the community and found inspiration, Katie joined the Board that same year and became Board Chair in 2024. She is dedicated every day to making every MED13L story count and invests in research not only to find treatments but also to provide families with answers about what their child’s life may look like and what therapies and other support can help.
For several years, Katie supported and eventually served as Chicago race director for Cupid’s Run, raising funds for neurofibromatosis (NF) research. She is also in-house counsel for a real estate management and development company, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Katie holds a J.D. from DePaul University and a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois.
