Our Cause

MED13L Syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children’s growth, intellectual development, and overall health. Importantly, MED13L is also recognized as one of the top genes associated with autism. By supporting this event, you’re contributing to vital research not only for MED13L Syndrome but also for a broader range of rare pediatric neurodevelopmental diseases. The MED13L Foundation is collaborating with other similar disorders, pooling resources and knowledge to drive impactful research and accelerate the development of treatments that can benefit countless children in need.

The Road Full of Promise Project

This initiative was born from Katie and Mike’s journey with their son, Collin, who was diagnosed with
MED13L Syndrome. A good friend once said, there is nothing else that can meet us in our heartbreak,
elevate our spirits, move us to laughter, and let us dream the way music can. Inspired by this idea, and a
combination of lyrics from some of our favorite artists, Road Full of Promise was born. Music meets us
on this road and helps keep us moving forward. We invite you to join us on this journey of hope.
